Post-Posted: Wimbledon Single Mens Final

Updated: Jun 18

On Sunday 16th July, Carlos Alcaraz prevailed over world renowned player Novak Djokovic in a highly anticipated and widely discussed final match of the worlds ultimate championship tennis tournament, but it became so much more than that.

As families and friends sat at the edge of their seats, cheering and groaning at the ins and outs of the sport of the summer, a star studded crowd filling the seats of Wimbledon’s centre court couldn’t help but steal attention with every cut of the cameras, in the most A-list B-roll you’ve ever seen.

The view of countless stars side by side, most of which we never would have expected to see together, bait surprised smiles and spontaneous shouts of ‘no way!’ from tennis fanatics across the globe, as those who’s interest lies elsewhere simultaneously tilt their heads around the corner and up from their phones to satisfy a desire for glamour at a level not unlike that of the Met Gala. After all, the world-renowned dress code encourages the floods of cream and white.

I know I wasn’t the only house in which a mother repeatedly had a gasp or shriek pulled from their open smiling mouths as they pointed at the screen at the sight of their collective favourite Mr Brad Pitt.

Jonathan Bailey and Ariana Grande could be seen together in some great shots demonstrating the kind of friendly relationship that can only lead to mirrored smiles on your face as on theirs. At the same time our minds wonder at where this closeness came from and we gained an exciting reminder of the upcoming cinematic Wicked saga.

We could go on and on talking about all the people we got a sweet glimpse of during the course of the match but I have to finish it off with the stunning, the iconic, the lovely lady that is Kate Middleton.

Donning a slicked high ponytail and a sporty and stylish all-white outfit of sleeveless collared shirt and mini skirt with the perfect pair of chunky trainers, the duchess exhibited exquisite grace as she has her shining, and despite what some headlines say not ‘awkward’, moment on the unmistakable green court with Roger Federer, moonlighting as a ball girl.
